More coming from the west, about to cross the Mississippi. Although that not quite as severe.

Interesting side note, the double header tomorrow means that the last two games played in Chicago will have been double headers. I wonder when the last time that happened was?

Did this thing dissipate at all as it came closer to the Lake? The most surprising thing to me is the lack of wind I'm seeing right now. Just west of the City, we got some decent heavy rain and some lighting, but no hail and no wind. Nothing even remotely close to some of the wind speeds they were talking about...

The weather channel was just talking about 70 mph gusts in Lockport. I think the worst hasn't hit some places yet.

I think the worst of it hit to the south of the city, that's what they were saying on the weather channel and what I read from other sources. But I think it also weakened a bit before hitting Illinois, and the worst reports were in eastern Iowa.

Got tickets for the regularly scheduled game tomorrow. Can I sit in my seats for both games? Where's Night Train?

Yes. Are straight doubleheaders really so rare now that people don't remember how they work?

You're right, looks like they are saying that people with tickets for tonight's game may exchange for tomorrow or any future game. Ticket holders for tomorrow have their seats for both games.

Right you are, one I will never forget was when I was a vendor in 1962 also against the Angels. August twi-nighter, about 92 when game one started , I'm selling cokes like they are going out of style, a front moves in before game 2 starts and the temp dropped to the low 60s and I wind up selling Hot Chocolate as everybody is freezing their butts off with the drastic change in the temp.

I'm going by memory, but didn't Twi-Nighters start around 6pm back in the 70s and early 80s? Game times were generally much quicker back then. It wouldn't be impossible for the first game to be wrapped up by 8:30 or so, and Game 2 would start at 9pm...
