The Tommy John Monster has apparently run out of pitchers to feed on

There are a lot of surgeons getting mighty rich this year off of that monster too.

As terrible as this is for Wieters, if this injury was inevitable, it's certainly better for him that it happened this season instead of next season. Now he can at least prove himself healthy next season before he hits free agency, instead of going into it fresh off a missed season and Tommy John surgery.

It's still a tough break for Wieters, for the Orioles, and for MLB in general. Catchers who hit like him are rare as it is, and it really sucks when one of them gets hurt. It's like Buster Posey missing most of the 2011 season.

Nieto, Rienzo, and Noesi for a 4th starter. Now that is a deal for them. ok, ok, I'll even take a 5th starter and we can just call up Phegley as our backup.
