Abreu is in straight up beast mode right now. It feels good to have to legitimate superstars on the team (Sale and Abreu).
2017 Sox Attendance Record 0-2

Anticipated next game: 4/26 vs Royals

Way too making walks but they dodged the bullets.

I still can't get my head around the improvement of this team's offense. I understand Abreu, but guys like Flowers doing this shocks me. Noesi is looking more and more like a Coop fixed 'em guy.
And on the 8th day, God created churros.

Yeah, seven walks tonight. Too many, but the Dodgers failed to deliver the big hit.

That said, I can't complain about Noesi. Anytime he gets through six with a lead, that's a good outing for him.

The Sox really aren't hitting right now. It's home run or bust offensively, but they are still managing to win some games during this stretch where runs are a little scarce.
JB's attendance record:

Noesi got his first win tonight too.
He's improving - just needs to get a handle on the walks.
Great piece of evaluation by Hahn, Coop, Ventura or whomever.

The Sox have scored six runs since Abreu has come off the disabled list. Abreu has driven in the first five, two with two-run home runs. Tonight's home run put the Sox ahead and drove in more runs than the Dodgers would end up scoring in the game.

Abreu adds an immediate sudden presence in the lineup that I haven't seen come in since Dick Allen. There was Frank Thomas, but that wasn't the same because he made his debut 100 games into the 1990 season when the White Sox were a surprise contending team deep into the season without him. The impact on the team didn't feel so dramatic.

The Sox won tonight because they didn't make mistakes. There were walks, but the defense did its job. I didn't expect tonight's scoring to end with the Flowers home run. I thought it would be a key to scoring in the next inning because while it increased the lead, it got Noesi out of the way and turned over the lineup.

They should have won Monday night, and if they had, they would be only three games behind the Tigers, the two weeks Abreu missed notwithstanding, the three weeks Sale missed notwithstanding. On one hand the Sox are just a .500 team, but they weren a .500 team with the team hitting out of their mnds, a .500 team with two minor-league callups and a recent waiver claim in the starting rotation. Last night they felt like a nearlly .500 team with too many flaws to keep it up. Tonight they feel like a .500 team that could be doing better.

And whenever Belisaro bruises through a save (both times to date), it feels he has turned the corner.

Nice to see sox-dodgers lead off sportscenter. fwiw yeah I know they are doing it to highlight puig's one year since his debut but Abreu stole the spotlight as well as Beckham's nice grab

Nice to see the occasional game without any errors in the field.

Robin's first year at the helm the talking heads raved about the fact that he put the team through in-fielding practice throughout the course of the year, and talked about how that kept the team sharp defensively.

Has he stopped doing that?
It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. - A. Didn't see the whole game, but saw all the run scoring.

I figured Noesi had to have been a Coop'll-fix-'em project when the Sox claimed him after kicking his butt around in Texas:

I am not going to rave about Abreu, because I am sure I have done it enough, but it is exciting to see where we are. The Tigers are not as good as they were, and 80 something wins could take the division. I will be happy with the outcome no matter what, but the fact that we ca dream feels good. I seriously can't wait until next year. Add one more starter and two bullpen arms and wow. Also, we need to do something about defense at third and the outfield corners (hopefully fixed once Avisail comes back).

Greatest Arsenal goal I have ever witnessed. Chills to this day watching it.

Always nice when there are no errors and the bullpen does it's job .. Beckham has only gone without a hit, twice in his last 10 games .. he's really seeing the ball well .. like the Eaton - Beckham - Abreu 1-2-3 .. Abreu is so strong that opposing fielders seem have difficulty handling routine plays..

My random $0.02-
  1. Belisario was hitting 97 mph last night- now that he's been getting a little bit of rest- he seems to be settling in to the closer role-would be huge if he can play that role for 2014
  2. Noesi has a 3.47 ERA over the past 30 days- other than his start in Houston and his first start vs. DET (3 shutout innings- then allowed 4 when he ran out of gas in the 4th)- his ERA as a starter with the White Sox has been 2.67- pretty impressive for a waiver claim reliever who the Sox have stretched out to a starter in only 5 -6 weeks.
  3. Beckham now #3 in batting average on the Sox (after Gillaspie and Ramirez), and he's hitting .330 over the past 30 days-
  4. A number of guys returning to earth after strong Aprils- over the past 30 days (Flowers- .211, Viciedo- .209, Eaton- .209, Dunn- .162). I think Viciedo could use a day off or 2, really need Eaton to get back on track at the top of the order, it will help Dunn to get back to sitting him vs. LHPs.
  5. We're .500 and only 4 GB DET and 1 GB the Wild Card (bunched with NYY and TEX)- if we can stay healthy and get at least 2 of the 4 guys slumping back on track- could be a fun run up to the All Star break.
Players that are an important part of the rebuild:
Anderson, Fulmer, Giolito, Lopez, Moncada
Players that might be or could have trade value:
Abreu, Bummer, Davidson, Fry, A. Garcia, Jones, Sanchez
