Default White Sox Gift Card vs Comiskey Cash

Thanks to all that have helped me this week with my questions. Here's another one: I'm attending Sunday's game with a family member whose birthday is today. As a gift, on Sunday I'd like to give him either a White Sox gift card or Comiskey Cash. I'm looking to give him $50 value either way. Is there a benefit to one over the other?

Thanks Again!

Personally, I would go with the Comiskey Cash. It will be as good as cash and accepted anywhere the ball park accepts cash. Transactions will be quick and easy.

To add, if you're going to the ballpark and need to get cash the day of, I would purchase Comiskey Cash as opposed to an ATM. That way you can avoid the fees!

A credit card/debit card will work right NEXT to guest relations at the "Advanced Ticket" window.

Considering the trouble I've had with the time it takes some people at the stands to figure out Sox gift cards, I'd go with Comiskey Cash. Granted, it would be easier to buy a Sox gift card down here in Normal at Jewel-Osco, but I'd still get the Comiskey Cash.

The fact that the White Sox's official website says you can purchase a White Sox gift card at "participating Dominick [sic] locations," makes me think you should probably go with the Comiskey Cash.

The gift card can be used at Grandstand and for online ticket orders at the Sox website.

I've used the gift cards at the box office, the concession stands, upper deck gift shop, and at Chicago Sports Depot without any issues.
