7-3 against Cleveland this year. This sweep feels good, especially after how things went against the Indians last season.

I just hope they can pound on the Padres before they head out west.

TDog:

Dunn threw a ball into leftfield in the 9th that could have been a DP. Not an error, but it cost Belly.

Thanks. I missed that following the accounts.

I've wondered why Dunn has been playing so much first base. Maybe it's the best they can do defensively with Abreu out, although I thought Konerko looked good at first base against the A's. I've been wondering if Dunn has been playing so much first to make him more atactactive in trade.

C'mon Hawk bring it back. This team has TWTW. Noesi pitched great again and makes the rotation look solid.

Guess closer is the biggest hole right now. But that is fixable. Just reassign roles in the bullpen.

Great sweep...and great sports nite with the Hawks winning and both the cubs and Heat losing.

Probably because his numbers while playing 1B as opposed to DH are traditionally much better (although not as drastic this year). He also tends to whine if he has to play DH.

I've wondered the same thing. Tribune reported this morning that Konerko has recently had a sore back.

Is the Belisario nonsense over yet?

Noesi with a great start and improving (waiver claim by Hahn)

Guerra with a nice 8th (waiver claim by Hahn)

L. Garcia with a key stolen base (acquired in trade by Hahn)

Belisario with 2nd solid 9th (would have been a solid save without Dunn's blunder)- (signed as FA by Hahn)

M. Sierra knocks in winning run with 2 outs/2 strikes in bottom of 9th (waiver claim by Hahn)

The wrath of Hahn!

White Sox 28-27, 4 GB Detroit, 1.5 GB 2nd Wild Card

Nice job by both Hahn and Ventura to get an injury plagued/rebuilding team to this point.

Since when he whined?

He's playing 1B because he's the best option between a hurt Abreu and Paul Konerko who really should not be on the team

Nailed it. Clutch plays by newcomers have happened all season.

Agree that it was a very fun nite for Sox,Hawks, and non-Heat fans.

The only error in the game I see is the Indians' error on a ground ball by Flowers to lead off the bottom of the ninth. Garcia pinch runs, steals second. Semien moves him to third, setting up the game-winning hit.

Yea, sorry about that misleading comment, i was obviously referring to Dunn's bad throw that went into left field .. i should think before i post, but i was fairly excited .. i would have answered your query, but i tend to post and then get off since it's difficult for me to sit up for very long .. glad that you got the answer though..

Default Konerko has occasional back stiffness

"Sometimes that happens where he gets locked up," said White Sox manager Robin Ventura of Konerko's back. "Right now, it has worked out better to have Dunner over there where he's able to do it."
Dunn has made 14 starts at first, with Konerko making six.http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?...k_cws&c_id=cws

White Sox earned their 1st series sweep of the Indians tonight since May 25-27, 2012. At 28-27, they're over .500 for 1st time since May 9.
