So the Sox have managed to find suitors for Beckham, De Aza, and Dunn, but not Alexei. Baseball is a crazy sport.

I think they still see TCM as a part of the immediate future. Don't blame them; the guy has been one of the best shortstops in baseball over the last five years and hasn't shown any real decline.

Yes! Our long nightmare is over.

Well done, Mr, Hahn!

You know better, Ramirez has worth, the other 3 were basically worthless. Ramirez has to bring a decent return in order to trade.

I had nothing against Adam Dunn personally. I just didn't want him on this baseball team. It will be interesting to see what kind of off season the Sox have.

If the recent report of Hahn making a run at Victor Martinez has any truth to it, they think they can contend in 2015, and trading Alexei would be a massive step backwards in that regard. I think it's worth a shot.

White Sox said to be picking up salary in the deal, but a significant savings nonetheless. Hahn to talk about deal soon.

Sox probably wanted a lot more for Ramirez. Most of these deals are no or very low risk for the team taking the player on. Sox aren't trading Ramirez unless they get a nice return. He's one of the top SS in baseball.
