So THAT's what we needed to do to get Dunn out of his annual funk - change his jersey number!

You would be shocked at what little mental things like this can do for a player. I agree with what you are saying.

Slightly surprised Garcia isn't switching back to 34.

44 is the number of Ks he'll have in April.

Actually, I overheard Kenny talking on his phone at the airport. It's being retired for Gavin Floyd.

Oh man. Great to hear this joke again. I've missed it.

Back in November, I asked Avisail on Twitter if he would be keeping #26 or switching to #34. He said he wasn't sure but said he was thinking about keeping #26. Looks like he has made his decision. Personally, I was hoping he would switch to #34 since I own a black authentic #34 Garcia jersey that I bought in 2004. It suddenly would have been current again.

I'm glad I waited to buy that Dunn jersey I was planning on getting.

How many times has it happened that multiple players of the same surname have worn the same number for a team? I know Stephen and JD Drew wore 7 for the Red Sox.

Looks like you'll have to wait until at least 2015
