Thank you for the memories, Big Hurt. You definitely earned it. World Series ring, 2 MVPs (should be 3, if it weren't for that juicing ******* Giambi), and a first-ballot HOF induction.

Yeah, I'd call that a successful career. Very proud to have watched him almost every step of the way to his path to greatness.

Frank Thomas, Hall of Famer. I love the sound of that.

Greatest White Sox player in history. No way around it. Hall of Famer!

That's unbelievable. Eddie Collins didn't get in until his 4th ballot, barely squeezing in at 77.4%...In my opinion, probably the greatest Sox player. He should have been a no brainer.

Without researching it too much, the standard was probably higher at that point.

Even Yogi Berra didn't make until his 2nd ballot.

The standard has evolved (or devolved) over the years.

Is Collins in as a Sox?

Yep, also, if we're talking greatest White Sox player ever, if the answer is not Frank Thomas, the only other acceptable one is Joe Jackson.

Congrats to Big Frank!!!

My personal Big Hurt moment: Was in Vegas during March 2003 and working out at the Bellagio fitness club when Frank walks in. Knowing that ST was in progress I was surprised to him beyond the obvious reasons. I went over and chatted with him for a few moments. When I told him that I am a lifelong Sox fan, his eyes lit up. That's why I knew he would eventually come back to the Sox organization, even after the dust up between him and KW after the 2005 WS.

You have been starring at candles too long.... everyone knows Jorge Orta is the second best White Sox of all time. (The first is The Milkman)

No, greatest White Sox ever was Greg Norton. Even Hawk said so himself.

"Norton, you're the greatest!"

I rest my case.

I can only imagine what kind of career Frank would've had if he had the lively bat of Dayan Viciedo.

I didn't think Frank would get in on first ballot due to his relationship with the media but it didn't matter because in the end he put up the numbers and was one of the few players to ask for steroid testing.
