I'm sure I subconsciously knew it, but I didn't quite realize at first the huge Atlanta-Chicago ties in the HOF.

Atlanta (4 of 6):
Maddux and Glavine pitched there.
Cox was GM and manager
Torre managed there and played there.

Chicago (3 of 6):
Frank obviously played here, along with Maddux.
LaRussa managed here

St. Louis (2 of 6):
LaRussa managed.
Torre managed and played

You spoke about him so often and so kindly that I felt like he was part of the WSI family. He was a good man. I'm sure he's looking down and watching today along with you.

I am SOOOOO sorry, October26! At least you got to enjoy a World Series title together! Think back to that evening on this day!

Congrats to "Big Hurt" Frank Thomas on his Hall of Fame induction today. If it weren't for him, I *might* have been a Cubs fan. He was my first ever favorite baseball player.

Nice little book. The Frank article was a reprint of a September '91 story. It was a fun read.
Not read it yet. The 7-11 that had the issue was the store on Archer & Central if anyone is nearby. As for October26, my sympathies on your loss. My Ma, who loved the Sox and baseball, passed away two years ago. Miss her every day but she's always in our hearts.

Shorter Frank Thomas: "There is no I in team."

Great speech. Not a drop of ego, just a long list of thank yous and lots and lots of emotions.

Don't worry about the time, big man. You deserve every minute in the sun they give you.

<-------------Picture them standing

Thanks Frank. You'll always be my favorite and to this day the only jersey I have ever purchased.

Great speech by Frank. Nice to see the big man cry and show emotion. Also cool to see all the Sox jerseys and shirts in the crowd. Great day to be a Sox fan.

Loved Frank's emotional speech.

Also loved LaRussa's mention of Harold.

Watching on replay now, the best term to describe this man is truly humble. Immense talent on top of an imposing frame, and yet, he gave thanks to everyone in every step of his career.

Just a great human being that the rest of us should feel blessed to have the chance to watch do what he was born to do - hit the cover off of a baseball.

Beautiful speech. It's great to see a side of Frank since he retired that we didn't see much during his playing career. Great job Frank and congrats!
