First things first, let's get another Stanley Cup and then watch the Sox go from worst to first.

Disagree. I'd be thrilled if the Hawks won another Stanley Cup, but I'm not going to wait until the 2nd week of June to get into baseball again. Even though I don't think the Sox will be playoff contenders, spring training and opening day can't come soon enough, IMO.

I think the baseball season tends to get squeezed by some. It doesn't get full attention until the NHL/NBA season is over and then attention gets shifted to the Bears in late July once training camp opens.

I'm not a football, basketball, or hockey fan. So baseball is year round for me

I should have phrased it better, let's bring home another Stanley Cup while we watch the Sox go from worst to first. The Sox are number 1 in my book and the Hawks are a close second and the 3 Cups the Hawks won in my lifetime will never equal the 2005 White Sox World Series Championship.

Won't feel like baseball season to me until pitchers and catchers report. As much as I'd love for it to be year-round, that's just not possible. I'll enjoy looking back on it though.

Football season doesn't really start until the baseball season is 100% OVAH.

There are many foreign leagues goin on right now that you can check out. Future stars and some current MLBers play winter ball.

Agreed. There are two seasons: baseball and Hot Stove.

Fully agree. On Sundays in September and early October, the Bears are watched during the commercials of the Sox game. Even if the Sox are playing Kansas City in a game with absolutely no relevance, they are priority viewing.

Is it wrong to keep checking the newsstands right now for the first baseball magazine of the preseason? Even just a fantasy preview?

I REALLY wish MLB Network would carry some of these games instead of showing some of the WORST baseball movies ever.

Brewster's Millions was on last night. Considering they have a vault of classic games they could be running (old All-Star games, World Series, regular season games), this is awful.
