At least Cleveland still has all this (except LeBron):

You'd have to do that for every sport under that logic. For instance, does an NFL division winner not deserve to go to the playoffs if they sweep the bottom two teams, but get swept by the 2nd-place team?

Tampa is a better team, and they snuffed Cleveland all night. They are very athletic and now experienced. The pitching is nails too. Cobb got out of some jams.
If they could get some more power in the lineup, they'd be a perennial World Series contender. They have everything else.

Besides, 162 games does not compare to 16. You know what teams suck in baseball by the end of May. Football, it's still the old saying "any given Sunday" |

Frankly, the Indians had more than enough chances to win last night's game, they threatened all night long and just couldn't get the 1 big hit to break it open, but they had runners in scoring position seemingly all night long from the 3rd inning on. They just didn't catch the breaks. That's baseball. That's life.

I had heard about that quote and couldn't believe what he said. Did he forget the World Series he won with the Yankees? I guess a regular season walk off against the last place White Sox trumps a World Series in Swisher's world. Good grief.
