Default ARoid breaks Grand Slam Record

Last night Alex Rodriquez hit a grand slam passing Lou Gehrig for the all time record.

Personally this pisses me off. I used to have that record card and the number 23 has been etched in my brain since I was like 10. Lou Gehrig was always one of my favorite players too. To have this lying, scamming, cheating, walking ego break the record is annoying...

I remember in 2000, there was a double-header at Comiskey Park where A-Rod for the Mariners hit a grand slam...it may have been off a young Jon Garland.

The Mariners swept that double-header, a portend of things to come that autumn.

Too bad he isn't serving his suspension instead.

Not sure there's an asterisk big enough for that one. he not only is a cheater, he's not even supposed to be playing.

The game of cherished records has fallen and records will never be the same. I just hope 50 years from now people will still look at records, see 2005 when a team went wire to wire, went 11-1 in the playoffs and statistically will be viewed as one of the best of all time.

Well, the only thing we have going is his career vs the White Sox. Out of the all the AL teams, he has the lowest BA and OPS vs the White Sox. He has the second least most home runs against the Sox. He even has more home runs vs the Yankees in his career, and he's played there for ten years. He sure is no Jim Thome or Mike Sweeney...

Tied for 5th on the all-time number of grand slams list is the current manager of the White Sox.

I remember when Robin hit 2 grand slams in one game! Hard to believe that was 18 years ago:

Interestingly, tied for 7th all time is El Caballo.
