Team wins by whats possibly the biggest margin of the year and despite the scoring drought of the past week, nobody appears to have started a game thread.

Strange.

Yay for meaningless wins against another crappy team. At least Erik Johnson notched his first major league win. Hope he enjoyed the beer shower.

I was at the game; it was the rescheduled dog night and the weather was enjoyable. They announced the dog attendance in the 7th as just under 1,000 and I think by that point there might have been that many humans left in the stadium.

The wins and losses at this point are pointless but a nice outing for a key piece of the future here. I like what I have seen of Johnson thus far, I suspected the Sox might start him at AAA in 2014 but I'm beginning to think he's up for good now. Kid's arm is legit.

Surprising to think that more than likely 4 of the Sox's 5 SP next year will be homegrown, and pretty good, at that. If only they could develop 1-2 hitters.

Congratulations Erik Johnson on your first major league win. I hope it's only the first of many in a White Sox uniform.

I like what I've seen of Jake Petricka so far, too. He might be a nice addition to our bullpen for 2014.

Does Johnson top out at 92mph? That is what I saw on the gun.

Is he better than Rienza?

One of them will probably come north with the Sox next spring.
Not sure which.

Congrats to Johnson on his first of many MLB wins.
Nice offensive show. It is like once the Sox face a non-contender, suddenly they can hit again.

With the fastball, Johnson can top out in the 95-96 range but he usually sits around 92-93.

If Johnson starts the year in AAA, I think it's only because the Sox don't want to push him too hard too early; he'll be 24 years old at the start of the 2014 season and he has had some arm fatigue issues in the past. But there is no question that his ceiling is much higher than Reinzo's, who I like a lot, as well, but I don't know if he's destined to be an everyday, 200+ IP kind of starter.

Johnson really looks like the real deal.

Erik Johnson is right!
