I'd think we could find a taker for Alexei in the offseason, as good shortstops are always in demand. Maybe he could replace Jeter in the Bronx.
I Pray. Sucks to have a player that waits almost half a season to stat hitting. And the Errors this year ugh. Maybe it's just a trickle down effect.

Looks like it is Texas....Sox interested in Martin Perez, Rogund Odor and Luke Jackson. But Texas is not interested in giving up those guys for Rios. I don;t blame them.

Please just send a little cash along to get Odor/Jackson in a deal.

When the farm system is in the shape ours is in (this isn't my money), I hope we take the advantage of making an investment like this. For a couple million, you can get someone back who is likely to see time up with the ML club and who is under cost control for a while.

As a fan, I'm completely ok hearing, "We're spending $20 million less than anticipated because we are using that money to buy prospects.

Actually he has been pretty consistent offensively all year. He is a career .276 hitter. So far he has hit:

April .281
May .271
June .288
July .279

Few players in baseball are that consistent in average for 4 straight months. Unfortunately his power numbers are down all year.

Paulie has been placed on waivers, but he can refuse due to his 10/5 rights.
