That is true, Soxheads, but if we do run the table and win all 7 games (unlikely, i know), I still think we can control our own destiny in the wild-card race at least.

Remember, we have an EASY August.

In August, we get 19 game against Texas, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, and Detroit, who are all, in my opinion third-tier teams in a 3-tier league.

All we have to do is win, get healthy, and get ready to make a charge in September, when we get to play the teams that are in front of us for the wild-card or division (Minnesota, Cleveland, New York, Boston, Oakland) 19 times in 28 games (The other 9 are against the Kitties and Royals).

Chicago White Sox Baseball - IT'S TIME. That slogan has never been more true.

2015 Obligatory Attendance/Record Tracker

LAST GAME: May 22 - Sox 3, Twins 2
NEXT GAME: June 8 - Sox vs. Astros

Running the table, although and unlikely scenario, is still possible given the following. The Tribe is only 4 over .500 at home. They get their wins on the road where they are 12 over .500.

The trouble is that they have a .294 team batting average. But nothing stops good hitting better that good pitching. Sox pitchers have delivered that, just not against the Tribe.

The problem is that when games have mattered, the Sox seem to have a let down. That is pure inexperience and immaturity in dealing with pressure situations. It has been the story of thier season. When faced with an opportunity to advance in the race, drive in critical runs with clutch hits, the Sox have failed almost every time. The problem comes for immaturity against first division teams. If the Sox are down early, they start thinking that they may not have enough to get back in the game and start trying too hard. But if they lead early, they always seem to keep themselves leading or in the game to the end.

In the Sox last two games against the Tribe, let downs from starting pitching came early and the Tribe scored a bundle of runs. But after the Tribe's first run through the lineup and the outburst of runs, the starters settled down and pitched some good innings. If the Sox can score first, and the pitching can get through the first nine Indian hitters w/out giving up runs, I like the Sox chances.

Also, don't pitch to Thome with men on base. That guy is a Sox killer. He always has been.

Last year we just seemed to score a lot with two outs. We came from behind in a lot of games. We did all the little clutch things the Twinks have been doing so far this year.
