Default A Positive WSI Energy Field For Adam Dunn

Well, we all know the impact of nattering nabobs of negativity in our own lives, and undoubtedly it's a total downer for Adam Dunn to be hearing what a bust-out he's been thus far. Therefore, I've decided that we need to start sending out positive vibes and energy in his direction in the hope that a giant WSI harmonic convergence will begin to resonate deep within his chakras and begin manifesting itself in a .300 batting average and a 12.5 AB/HR rating.

I will begin this effort with a positive affirmation, accentuating some aspect of Mr. Dunn that I find to be a salutary quality:

Thus far, I've been pleasantly surprised with Mr. Dunn's footspeed and base-running ability; for a big guy he gets around the base paths rather decently and is not the base-jamming slug one might've assumed. True, he's not going to make anyone forget Ricky Henderson (Oh, there I go! Positive, Procol, Positive!), but his presence on base--when he gets there (Oh darn! There I go again! The man does know how to accept a base-on-balls!)--is not as bovine as some other Sox sluggers of recent and contemporary memory.

Alrighty! That's a start--who's next?

Thank you, Soxman. I was beginning to hope that he found the sound of crickets soothing....

He has the reputation of being well-liked and respected amongst his teammates.

He showed how tough he was by taking that pitch off his foot yesterday.

I thought his appendix was pretty damn funny.

Seriously, though, he knows how to take walks. And I couldn't find any stats to support this, but it appears to me that when he strikes out, he's usually swinging.

Here's hoping that hit last night helps him turn the corner.

Despite his struggles his OBP is still higher than our lead off hitter
