Was it 1963 that the Sox won their last 19 to fall just short of the pennant?

Does 15 in a row even count in the top ten of all time streaks?

I was just wondering how 22-5 stacks up against other Sox teams of the past. Maybe a Sox Historian on this site could rank the streaks.

I just know the 1983 team went 50-16 the last 66 games. That's up there.

You have years and numbers crossed. The Sox won their last 9 in 1964 to fall one game short.

Don't know the top 10 winning streaks all time-trying to find it on the internet. Longest Sox winning streak is 19 in 1906, their 2nd is 14 in 1951.

Pretty well, though not a guarantor of anything. Sox last went 22-5 from games 6 to 32 of 2006 season. Before that, they went 22-5 from games 68 to 94 of the 1994 season. They had a few (overlapping) stretches of 23-4 in the 1983 season, the latest being from games 129-155.

Close. The Sox ended 1963 with a one game losing streak. It ended a 3 game winning streak.

The only time the Sox had a 19 game winning streak was in 1906.

I know the Sox went 11-1 to close out 2005.

Longest winning streak in 1996 was 8 games. They had two eight game winning streaks and one seven game streak.
