J.P. (Chicago): Kevin, how much of a concern is Chris Sale's 3/4 delivery?
Will the Sox have to overhaul his mechanics for him to be a starter?

Kevin Goldstein: Yeah, it's an issue. I don't like low 3/4 guys, but his velo and command are such rarities for a lefty, I'll take it.

Not sure how I feel about Sale. He seems like a bit of a risk given his frail frame and low arm slot in his delivery. However, he also may have the highest ceiling of the college arms that it seems we were destined to take. Not disappointed in the pick by any means. I would love if we were able to get Seth Blair in the 3rd round or so, both Blair and Sale have very high ceilings and arent extremely far off like most of the HS kids.

Because nobody else would have been calling him at that time. It went to voicemail because he was probably talking to someone else.

Valiant effort on that one, though.

This kid could be something really special, threw a no-hitter last year, put up unreal stats in the last two years. Could be a right-handed Lincecum or a total fluke.

Hmm, maybe. I don't think I've heard his name in any of the mocks I've read. Then again, he's Division 2 so maybe he's underrated.

Frankie Piliere:
There are scouts I am talking to that are baffled so this is not a "the scouting world knew about him" pick
