They took another catcher in the 20th round. Hey Oney, there's 29 other teams. Why aren't you complaining about them?

Why is a slap in the face? If the guy was a better prospect than a 22nd round selection wouldn't another team have taken him?

It's a good question. He's actually a decent prospect. Much better than Oney. I've seen estimates of 5th to 10th round, and 8th to 10th by multiple sources. He does have some leverage with his commitment to USF, and teams probably figured it was the White Sox or college for the kid. Who knows?

It could be Cowley stirring up ****. On the other hand, maybe I just haven't been around baseball long, but why take it so personally? I know he's Ozzie's son, but KW needs to do what's best for the team, no?

FWIW, I have no issues with Ozney. Same with Ozzie Jr. I'd be indifferent if he was in the Sox system. It's Oney and Ozzie who are intolerable and need tickets out of town.
