Kinda glad he just went. He seem like the safe college arm we would usually go for. I've seen a couple of videos and read a bunch about him(since a lot of people had us looking at him in the 1st), and it doesnt seem like hes anything special.

Many scouts see him as middle of the rotation potential. There is a chance he ends up in the bullpen if he can't get his mechanics in check.

Just bought a new house, no internet til friday, was thrilled to see our first round. Great Steal and great job taking the best talent and not the safe pick. Would love to see AJ Cole here, those 2 would jump to the top 2 or 3 arms in our farm immediately (with Hudson).

College senior with good velocity, little movement, and underdeveloped secondary pitches. Seems typical for this organization.
