That's unfortunate. **** the Red Sox.
They are getting a haul, as expected. Vitek, Brentz, Ranaudo. |

Yes, however, Selig announces all the picks.

Michael Huff too. But neither of them announce the picks. Maybe in the 2nd round tomorrow?

In the first round. The team reps are announcing the comp picks.

The reason I ask is because I know Alex Fernandez was the rep two years ago when the Sox picked Beckham. Seems like every team has former players as reps (Alomar, Bagwell, Joyner, etc) right now.
Edit- I see....this is only for the 2nd round now.

I think Gene Honda should announce all of the picks.

Delino DeShields Jr. was also a bit of a reach on their first pick, they might have been able to get him at 19, but they really wanted him. |

Great pick for Detroit. Top 15 talent. Not having a 1st rounder lets them spend on falling talent.

Ugh, if Detroit gets both Castellanos and Allie, I'm going to puke.

I know he sat at 87-89 last year and was a slight tick above that when I saw those April starts. Maybe he amped it up for a start after his injury. I guess we'll know soon enough. He'll probably be Brad Radke part deux. |
