How many rounds are going tonight? Is it just the first and supplemental rounds?

Yes, just 50 picks tonight. Rounds 2-30 on Tuesday. 31-50 on Wednesday.

Sounds like signability is playing a huge factor.

Does the evil empire reach deep and grab a Ranaudo/Wilson/Allie?

They are usually rather conservative in draft spending for some reason.

Why spend money on an unproven kid when you can just buy an MLB ace?

It is a great pick. The only knock on the guy is his mechanics and arm slot. People see some injury risk. Who knows if/how the Sox plan on altering anything.

Forgot about Kvasnicka. I think Houston could have done better here.

Odd that he was announced as a 3B.

I bet Detroit grabs Allie if he lasts that long. They aren't afraid of dumping money into the draft. See Porcello, Turner.

I didn't see it posted in the thread. Who was the Sox rep at the podium for the Sale announcement?
