Well, Silverio has hit a double and a HR in his first two at bats. He seems to hit fine in rookie ball, but you promote him and he hits .200. He's still young, but it seems like he's been here for ages already.

Holmberg with 2 H, 1 BB, 8 SO through 5.0 IP.
Encouraging 1st start. The system really needs some more SP prospects to emerge. |

Hopefully he keeps this up, he can be very promising.

Has Reed started before? I'm excited to see what he can do, but I am wondering if he is better off as a closer.
Let's hope Royse is healthy. |

Reed started all this season with SDSU. Numbers were impressive with 90 SO/16 BB in 79.1 IP and a 2.50 ERA. His velocity obviously plays better out of the bullpen, but he has the stuff to at least be given a shot in the rotation.

Royse with a nice start: 4 IP, 1 hit, 1 walk, 6 strikeouts.

Upchruch so far: 5 IP, 2H, 2BB, 3K
Hopefully he ties it all together; lots of upside. |
