I would agree. I'm pretty sure that whatever money was left to sign the remainding draft picks was taken away to sign Peavy and Rios.

A Keith Law ESPN Insider article says we aren't signing Morgado unless there is a last second change of plans.

That's fine - still a very good draft. Had we not spent the cash on Peavy/Rios, I'm guessing they might have gone harder after Morgado - but I'd much rather have the bird in the hand.
