Great news, maybe the break allowed him to catch his breath. I bet it's a bit intense going from Cuba to AA ball. Cuba he was already one of the best. Here he has to adjust not only to the culture and language but to an intensity of competition he probably isn't used to.

Hope he keeps it going. If Beckham keeps raking and improving at third, where do you think Viciedo ends up long term, RF? LF?

If Beckham stays at third, The only future I honestly see for Viciedo is at First Base. Hopefully by the time Viciedo gets up to the big leagues we will have TCQ and JorDanks locked up in left and center field, and from what I've heard, he doesn't have great defensive makings of a third baseman, much less a right fielder. Flowers could turn out to be a first baseman in the end, but the kind of numbers he could put up would be much more valuable at catcher than at first base, just as I think Beckham's potential could be more valuable at short or second than at 3rd. So for all I know Viciedo could end up as a third baseman.

EDIT: Perhaps in this case JorDanks may be moved to right, clearing center for TCM, clearing shortstop of Beckham, clearing third for Viciedo. Just a long chain reaction
