Default Need help remembering a Sox play...

So the other day this popped into my head. I was thinking of a couple years back when Buehrle threw an eephus pitch to Ichiro because we all know Mark can't get Ichiro out if his life depended on it. I want to say it was in 05 or 06, but I'm not positive. Can anyone remember when this was?

September 4, 2004. Sox 8, M's 7. Ichiro went 5-for-5 and the pitch was thrown in the seventh:

Ah yes, now I remember this one. I was at the game! I forgot it was the same game that Timo threw out Boone! What an ending that was!!

Thanks!

I too was at that game. We all cracked up when Buehrle threw that pitch. We weren't cracking up when Seattle staged that threat in the ninth, but thankfully Timo bailed us out...

Illll! Look at that boxscore, LTP a #9 hitting DH? Ben Davis behind the plate, and Jeff Bajeneru in relief? Hard to imagine what great things were on tap for the next season.

If I remember correctly, after Ichiro got his fourth hit off Mark, Mark turned to first base and bowed at Ichiro. Ichiro then returned the bow.

It was a pretty cool moment at the time

I remember watching that game on WGN with my wife. The interaction between Mark and Ichiro was pretty funny.
