Charlotte gets spanked in Durham

14-7 loss It was sad! I was there along with a few other White Sox fans. Nice to see some Sox gear here in Durham, but it wasn't enough. Their pitching is terrible. At this point it seems there's nothing in that area for Ozzie to draw on if they need help with relieivers in Chicago.

Got Pods to autograph my World Series commemorative baseball, which was nice. He did get an RBI, but had a couple of errors out in centerfield. His average is now .270. I tried to get some pictures, but wouldn't you know the batteries ran out of gas in my camera.

They have another game tomorrow in Durham (day game) so hope they can come around.

More importantly -- in terms of the White Sox future -- the Birmingham Barons are great. I look forward to the core of this year's Barons club reaching Chicago.

The only position player who matters this year in Charlotte is Nix. And he is doing just fine. I would like to see him called up soon, to replace Lillibridge, who looks like he may need to work on his game everyday.

I think it's great we have some talent at AA, but for overall organization depth and internal help in case of injury...the cupboard is pretty bare...if not for two guys released by the Colorado Rockies (Pods and Nix), there is absolutely nothing.

It's right there in the boxscore unless I'm missing something and my eyes decieved when I was there:
