Not sure if Pods is better than Wise at this stage of his career but I agree that anybody is better than Owens. You can never have too much depth in your organization. Even if Pods stays in Charlotte all year, it is nice to know we have options.

I would also rather have Pods than Owens when Pods is healthy. Overall, good move for the Sox.

Its just a minor league contract people. If Pods doesn't cut it in AAA then no worries, he's not going to make the big leagues. If he does show he can cut it, then he should be able to compete against Wise/Anderson/Owens.

The Sox want the best CF playing. So far Wise/Anderson/Owens haven't stepped up and showed Ozzie that they should be playing there. Maybe with this opportunity Anderson will finally show his potential. If not, he has nobody to blame but himself.

Unfortunately for Pods, BA is just too focused to slip up this great opportunity to win the CF job.

If only Pods knew what Brian's weakness is, and had some ace up his sleeve to exploit it ...
