Hey, did the ALCS game 5 start earlier than expected? Because I set a recording for it on my directv and when I got home today and started it from the beginning, it was in the middle of the 3rd inning. Was this just a bug with my directv or did they get the time screwed up?

I'm the same way. Over my Christmas break I watched every playoff game from 05 (which I taped off Comcast SportsNet during their Holiday Celebration in 05). While watching Game 3 vs the Angels, Konerko had a two strike count and took a pitch that was almost strike 3. I went "Oooooh..." and then thought "Why am I oooohing, I know he ends up hitting a home run."

I hate Mediacom. Horrible in all aspects.

Can't wait to switch to an apartment with a deck facing south so I can get DirecTV.

Anybody catch the White Sox-themed banner at the stadium in Mexicali? It reads, "El Beisbol con Orgulia" (I think, since since I don't get MLB Network HD, I'm can't clearly make out the words. There's a picture of what looks like Ozzie Guillen crossing his arms (again, hard to tell, but it's someone in a black pullover and black hat crossing his arms) on the left and the White Sox logo on the right.

Can any of our Spanish-speaking members translate?

PS... Exciting game postponed by power outage.

Just saw a stationary advertising billboard at the stadium there in Mexicali with a White Sox logo..... very nice to see.

It is not just a Sox-themed banner, the Sox paid for it. And it is Ozzie. El Beisbol con Orgullo means baseball with pride.

Sweet. Nothing like building up that fanbase on the Baja Peninsula. And I think my HS freshman Spanish teacher and Hispanic grandparents would be sick with my pathetic translation skills.

Meanwhile, what a party atmosphere that place is..... WOW.

Never thought baseball in Mexico was that big and the crowd having so much fun with the Mariachis and Banda Music. Good stuff.
