They grade the top 20 White Sox prospects for 2009 and we only have 3 guys with a better than a C+ grade (Beckham, Poreda, and Flowers).

Nice find, sir.

Man, if there is anyway we can get lucky and Brandon Allen can keep busting his ass and keep hitting on all levels, we'll have our old power hitting guys replenished with young power hitters like Allen, Flowers, Viciedo, Beckham, etc. Obviously a lot of things have to fall perfectly in place and most if not all expectations have to be met/exceeded for this to happen, but it's great to dream about.

John's fairly adamant about the meaninglessness of his ranking of guys C+ or below. Lots are interchangeable. That being said, he was pretty low on Marquez last season as well.

Cry about it, it's done with already. Kenny overpaid for Swisher. Fine. He saw Swisher as part of our young core that could be in the middle of our lineup for the next 5 years, but Swisher didn't live up to the hype. Now he's a .219 hitter coming into the years of his contract where he's making a lot of money. We weren't going to get THAT much for him. I wish we woulda got more back, but we didn't. Get over it, or go to Soxfest and tell him how you feel.

You lose credibility with me when you misspell Viciedo and Vazquez. Minor perhaps, but that's something Sickels should know if he's trying to be taken as an expert.

The in depth descriptions will appear in his book that comes out soon. He's not going to post everything on his blog for free.

He should give away some GOOD stuff for free if he wants people to buy his book. Why would anyone buy it if he can't spell a player's name right or be more creative with his 1-2 sentence reviews? Hey Craig, you've already pre-ordered it haven't you?
