(continued from above)

Mauer drills a sacrifice fly to deep left field. Span scores. Casilla stays put.
Morneau singles between the first and second basemen. Runners on 1 and 2. 1 out.
Kubel hits into a DP.

End of 3; 2-0 Twins

Callapso grounds out to the pitcher, should have chopped it into the ground harder, no dome hit for him.
Guillen, wow, really trying to kill the ball; doubles deep off the baggie. Misses a HR by maybe 5-6 feet.
Shealy strikes out on an inside fastball.
Most excellent, Fox is showing Rusty Kuntz on the mike. Never knew what the guy looked like.
Teahen ... strikes out. Swinging.

Middle of 4; 2-0 Twins

I understand that. If the last out is a fly out or a force out the run isn't going to count even if it has crossed the plate. (On an appeal play there are timing considerations where the run may count, but I digress.) My point was that White Sox fans would be screaming at the team for not scoring with runners on first and third and one out. Similarly, they would be upset about only scoring one run in the third after having two on and one out.

Unfortunately, Perkins is pitching well today, at least through four. I expected the Royals, who have been hitting very well of late, to do more with him the second time thorugh the order. (white Sox fans would be calling for the hitting coach to be fired in a similar situation.) In any case, Meche needs to keep the game close.

This situation is similar to the situation the Twins have been hitting into doubleplays today.

This might be the best opportunity the Royals have today, hopefully they can take advantage!

C'mon Aviles!!!!! Bases juiced, one out.

One run...for not, I'll take it. However, a two-out hit would be very welcome here!
