Currently, Gordon Beckham is 0-5, finding himself in a 1-22 slump. Danks is 2-5 with 2 doubles, though.

Jorge Castillo is also one to watch at Kanny. He started at Bristol and moved up to Kanny about 3 weeks ago after batting .365 at Bristol.

He is tearing it up at Kanny, batting .407 in 13 games, though he does not have much power. He's mostly a DH but is playing 3B in second game tonight.

He was picked in the 26th round of this year's draft out of Florida International.

Brandon Allen with another HR tonight (grand-slam).

Poreda with a pretty good start, too. Can he provide a Jeff Samardjia-like impact for the big club? Too early to bring up?

I think with Poreda being assigned to the AFL, they've already decided not to bring him up this year.

I hadn't thought about that, but you are probably right. Also, he is up to 155 IPs this year, far and away the most he's thrown in a season (Poreda missed some time during college due to various injuries). Maybe if he was a September callup strictly as a LOOGY though...

What a useless pick by KW. He should've focused on high OBP, high power, rocket armed players that never slump.

What a moron.

Seriously. Don't think I was ripping on Beckham. I have a lot of confidence in him that he'll be a stud for us. I was just updating people on how he's been doing lately, which happened to be not good.
