Could be. I would prefer a 12th pitcher between now and the end of the month, till callups, if Wise is on the DL and a spot opens up. Don't know what Owens could do besides pinch run.

The arguement for bringing up Owens now instead of an 12th pitcher is that it would make him eligible for the playoff roster (to be used as a pinch runner, player that can bunt and fifth OF). We aren't going to carry 12 pitchers in the playoffs and I'd rather have Richard on the playoff roster than Broadway anyways since I think Richard would serve as a better reliever.

With an off day today, our starters going deep lately, another off day between now and the end of the month, I really don't think we need 12 pitchers. The only concern is that the Balt make up game might go long, but honestly its almost like playing an extra inning game.
