Kannapolis--
Beckham 2-3, run, single and double Jordan Danks' debut. 0-3 so far Robert Valido is at AAA, so maybe Beckham will play for Birmingham in the playoffs? |

Upchurch has really been solid so far for a HS pick playing in the Appy League.
Btw, has anyone heard what's wrong with Nevin Griffith? |

I heard elbow issues, but haven't seen anything else.

What is the difference between Bristol and Great Falls? My impression is Great Falls has better prospects, as far as the Sox go, but that may be wrong. Is either league considered better? |

They are officially considered to be the same level Adv-R, but in practice the Pioneer League tends to get older prospects and college players with the Appy League getting quite a few players in their first year of pro ball. (Like Upchurch and first overall pick Tim Beckham.) The exceptions are that the Braves and Twins both send their advanced prospects there, which is why those two organizations win the Appy every year.

Great Falls is where the Sox send their older or more experienced players at that level. Bristol is generally where the most raw, the youngest HS and Latin American prospects are sent. They work more on fundamentals at Bristol than Great Falls.
