He's supposed to be in Kannapolis tomorrow. I would think they would throw him into the lineup. They only have 13 games left after tonight.

Yes, everyone ends their season Sept. 1. Then it's on to fall ball and winter ball. Where that is, I don't know. We need to get in some experts on where everyone goes after the minor leagues break. We'll want to keep track of Beckham's progress.

They haven't named the Arizona Fall League rosters yet, and won't for a while. It's possible (even probable) Beckham will play in that league. Usually it's teams' 5-6 higher profile prospects so it's good competition.

If not the Arizona Fall League, many of the prospects (and even suspects) will play in Instructional League which is held in Tucson and Phoenix. There's very little media coverage, in fact almost none at all, because it's a lot of intrasquad games at first and then games vs. other teams prospects. They're quite fun to watch though, usually there's only 20-30 people at the games and most of them are scouts/develpment people and even the kid's family members.

The Arizona Fall League gets some media attention, particularly from Baseball America.

It is possible Beckham will play for Birmingham after Kanny's season is done...B-ham is in the playoffs and will have another week or so of action. He could pick up a couple of games--not alot, but maybe get his feet wet at AA before heading to the AFL league later in the fall (if the Sox want him there).

Sox will send their prospects to Phoenix for Instructional League. They use the Brewers Major League clubhouse in Maryvale. Games are normally pretty long but they are open to the public and like the poster b4 me said..very few people attending.

But it is good baseball and word is Beckham and Danks will both be there for the full month.

Haven't seen anything official. Previous night was a blowout and he had a 2 month layoff, so he may have been pulled and given an off day just to catch his breath.

If he isn't in the lineup anywhere tonight... proceed with the worrying.
