Beckham is at SS and batting second for Kannapolis tonight.
He walked on four pitches in his first plate appearance. Edit: Beckham wasn't alone. The pitcher for Hickory walked the first 6 batters, and hit the showers. Last edited by sox1970; 08-15-2008 at 06:22 PM. |

It was brutal. Kanny scored 7 runs in the first inning--on one 1 hit. After Felix walked the first six batters, Benoit came in and gave up a grand slam to the first batter he faced, Inouye.

Saturday he'll make a quick stop in Birmingham, Sunday in Charlotte, and be good to go when Seattle comes to town on Monday.
Keep it up Beck! Note to self: in between his at-bats, try to think of a sweet nickname for Gordon Beckham.... |

Anything short of the cycle is unacceptable.

Beckham with a throwing error. Sounded like a do or die play and ball in dirt got away letting runner take third. Not a big deal.

Josh Fields 0-3 with a walk and 2 Ks and error #10. Why did he get sent back down again??
