Aaron Crow, who the Sox were interested in drafting, just went and signed with an independent league team. Might just be posturing, but he is threatening the Nats that if he isn't signed, he will go play for the Fort Worth Cats. He wants more than slot money - and the Nats are telling him he won't be getting it. This will be interesting.

Yonder Alonso is also considering this route.

The Nats need anybody they can get. They may have the most wretched roster in MLB. Other than Milledge and Zimmerman, it's ugly.
