Good to see Wassermann rebound after his tough outing Sunday in Louisville.

I wish Danny Richar and Josh Fields would go all Willie Harris on the Sox management - I think back in 2003 or so, I guess Willie was really pissed about being demoted so he went on an unholy tear down at Charlotte, hitting about .400 with big time line-drive power, demonizing on the pads..... pretty much forcing the Sox to call him up.

Hell, look at Clayton Richard putting himself on the map this summer, even though I am sure he didn't think Sox had an opening for him on the big-league roster just yet.

Unless, injuries are bothering them still.

Yep. Fields has not really done much for himself to convince management he must be called up. And I have great doubts of him being the answer next year at 3B if Crede departs. He is a strikeout machine in AAA. If you can't put the ball into play, you're in trouble as a hitter.

Last night, Fields was 0-4 with 2K. This year, he's batting .248 and has a lot more strikeouts than hits. In 222 official ABs at Charlotte, Fields has 55 hits and 77 Ks. He has 25 BBs, 9 HRs, 30 RBIs in 59 games.

That's not getting the job done against pitching inferior to what he would see in the majors.

Wasn't it a double-header for B-Ham? I thought Dick Allen, err, I mean, Brandon Allen almost hit for a cycle in the Game 2 or something like that.

Yeah, I missed that game. I just put a summary of the second game in the first post, with all the other summaries and the box scores.

In the second game, Allen's line was 3-3, 2B, 3B, HR, 2R -- it was only a 7 inning game, and Allen never got a chance to hit for the cycle; he only got 3 ABs.
