He hasn't played in about a week. Is he hurt or is he a bench player now?

I cannot find the nail on the head icon! That was one of the worst draft picks in the history of draft picks and that's saying a lot........

I knew he was on that 0-20something slump, so for that he's benched for good? I'm no apologist for him I was just curious.

He was drafted a few rounds too early, but I would think that both Sr and Jr would him to play for another organization. It could put both of them in a tough spot.
I don't know why the Sox do so much insider BS. It's bad news most of the time. |

KW Jr is playing so bad, he's do for a promotion! Don't believe me? Look at where Oney is playing these days.

I'm personally a big fan of the ol' .122/.175/.144 line Oney sported aka promotion. Makes sense.

Don't tell me what you hit, tell me when you hit it!

What's even sadder is KW Jr. got a $150k signing bonus. Maybe when KW goes into his can't spend a dime when he only has a nickel speeches, someone can tell him to have his son give him a loan.

Or if he can't sign Danks or, god forbid, Beckham, to say nothing of Long and a few of the oter late-round fliers the Sox took in the draft.

I played against Oney in college when he was a freshman at North Park.
He wasn't good. During BP, he was lazy as hell, although you could tell he had good hands defensively (although I believe he did make an error or two in the game), but he couldn't hit a lick then. If you aren't hitting much at the D3 level with metal bats, you probably aren't going to do much in minor league ball. Those North Park teams were terrible as a whole too (although I believe they have improved recently). There is no way a scout would have sniffed him if it weren't for his dad. It really is a joke he's taking up a roster spot. I didn't have a huge problem with them drafting him b/c of his dad....whatever. But the fact that he is still around floors me. The fact thatwe took a hot head, poor average, 1 tool player with a 6th round pick is a bigger travisty however. I've heard Ozzie's son who is in high school in Miami is an absolute stud, however...like a possible first round pick out of h.s.? Anyone else hear this?

Is Oney even on a team anymore?
