This seems destined for What's The Score if not the Roadhouse.

Somewhere in the Oakbrook area along I-88.

Easier access for everyone from the North, West, and South Suburbs with 294 and 355 bordering the area.

I never thought about that. It would be a snap to get to for me.

South Loop.

Clark and Roosevelt would have been great but it was announced recently that Related Midwest plans a multi-billion dollar mixed use neighborhood. Supposed to start construction next year.

The time to buy some of the prime land in the South Loop has passed, unfortunately. But you have to believe when a new owner takes over, they'll explore the idea of building new as we approach the end of the lease. Sox Park will be around 30-35 years old and probably the 5th or 6th oldest in baseball at that time.

Surprised that no one has posted Las Vegas. Surprised that many of you want it right where the roads are most congested without any ballpark traffic.

No to Las Vegas for a number of reasons.

If this franchise ever did move, Vegas would hurt me the least.

I think that whatever location is selected, it will be part of a "ballpark village" type concept with residential, retail, entertainment etc.

Even though I thought the Philip Bess design was kind of weird, the other elements were close.

I suspect they'll end up going with a suburban location. Perhaps something similar to the new Braves ballpark.

South Loop would be cool but it's hard to see it happening.

Where? As far as I know, there's no large parcel of vacant/unused land around Oakbrook that could accommodate a ballpark and parking lots -- unless you were to tear down the mall (which ain't happening).

Half-joking, half-serious question - does Reinsdorf still own the land in Addison he wanted to build on?

Dave and Busters has been occupying the land for at least 20 years now.
