Hope he was not exposed to any Theo DNA when he signed. That dude seems to kill off pitchers.....

Per Passan, only $10 million rest of this year, $16 million in each of the next two. There's a vesting option based on games saved for year 4 at $16 million. If it doesn't vest, it becomes a team option with a $1 million buyout.

This is a steal for one of the better closers in history.

This is correct. If we’re lucky he’ll vest his option year and the Cubs will still lose Game 163 every year. Or worse.

Some Nats fans are upset that the Nats didn't sign Kimbrel. The overwhelming reason why the Nats are disappointing this year is the bullpen. Fans are upset that the Lerners won't go over the luxury tax to sign Kimbrel. This comes after they apparently nixed a trade of Harper to Houston last year when it was well known that they had a set FA price for Harper that they were not going budge off of.

Cishek got hit in the knee with a ball while playing catch before today's game. Carted off the field.

And Hamels hits Aranado with a 90mph fastball to start his at bat off up high.

Not sure of intent but it seemed suspicious.

Arenado out of the game from that.

I see the Rockies stellar starting pitching come through today.

I don't believe it. The only way Hamels hits 90 is in an automobile.

Dodgers take 3 of 4 in LA. Nice win today after the blown save by Kenley yesterday.
