It's nice to see Adam recognized for his defensive efforts, but I just don't see him winning the Gold Glove. The game has become centered too much on the offensive side of things for the light hitting Engel when compared to Trout and Bradley JR.

I see Trout as the winner, Bradley a close second and Engel a very distant third. I hope I'm wrong, but that is my opinion.

Marcus Simien is a finalist at SS which is surprising (to say the least). Good luck to Adam.

And well-earned recognition at that.

Engel had a much better season in CF than either of those two.

I have it the other way around. Engel and JBJ both eclipsed Trout defensively. I guess an argument could be made that JBJís contribution was more important because it was made on a contending club, but Adam Engel played a better center field than anybody in the AL last year.

He won't win, but I'm glad so many people recognize how valuable his glove was this year.

I am a homer and think he got screwed, but congrats on him for the nomination. I would say he will win his one day, but I don't know if his Bat will let him play enough long term to do that.

No surprise. He plays for a 100 loss team. Like everything else in baseball popularity plays a big role.

I agree, I'm still upset that George Scott got the 1976 Gold Glove Award over Jim Spencer of the White Sox. Scott won the HR Title that year I do believe and it factored in to his winning. But Scott made 13 errors that year at 1B to Jim Spencer's 2. Spence also outfielded the Boomer .998 to .991. Scott did play in about a dozen more games than Jim, but Spencer was clearly the better fielder between the two.
