Coming into the season, I had hoped that if the Sox were going to lose a bunch of games it would be because the bullpen blew a bunch of games late. That hasn't really come to pass, but this kind of loss doesn't bother me as much. Soria, Cedeno and Fry have been a few of the rare bright spots in this bullpen.

As far as I'm concerned. this White Sox season can't end soon enough. Today would be fine. I suggest that the White Sox forfeit the rest of their games. This is the worst, most unwatchable White Sox team in my memory, and I remember the 1970 team.

In a lot of senses, this has been a difficult season to watch. We have had a few bright spots, and to me, it was more about the progress of a lot of talent in AA or AAA that would come up in July or later. What happened with Moncada, Anderson, Avi that mattered to me, of course. However, many of the people who are likely to be key in 2020 and beyond probably arenít on the ML roster yet unless Jose and Avi stay and some other guys turn out to be surprises for us.

I donít know why but I had a bad feeling about this game being up 3-2 in the bottom of the 9th. I guess part is just the lack of confidence in how weíre playing, despite some good bullpen showings by some relievers. I just donít want anything to happen to lessen the trade value of guys we need to flip.

Two of the last three games have been very fun to watch. Last nightís game had a bad ending, but it was an entertaining game.

It was unfortunate that Soria had an off night or we would be discussing how nice a win this was. They almost beat Verlander on the road.

I agree. Sox played a nice game for 8 innings. Just couldn't close it out. I hope Anderson is ok.

The first 3/4 of the game was decent but overall this season has been bad baseball. We knew this was coming but it's still hard to watch. Eloy and Kopech can't get called up soon enough.

Benetti blew this one for us. When Soria was warming up in the Pen, he said that the Astros have been scouting him for their Closer role.

Oh wait, wrong team. We don't do jinxes.

I'll accept the "zero investment" in the bullpen mentality for 2018- but for 2019, we need some investment (complementing the possible inclusion of internal candidates like Fry, Burdi, Hamilton, Vieira, etc.) in a few quality bullpen arms.

I watch most Sox games recorded on my DVR- starting around 8th inning- I fast forward as quickly as possible- usually watching the bases fill up, and then the White Sox blowing the lead they had entering the 8th.

As Lip pointed out above this is only the 10th time this season the team has blown a 7th inning or later lead and only the 4th time in the 9th inning. They just haven't had that many leads to blow.

Some games are indeed frustrating to watch, but i still look forward to every game .. the next couple of years (knock on wood) are not going to be easy, but i think ahead to how great it could possibly be, if all plans fall into place .. other teams can do it, why not the White Sox .. it seems that the older i get, the more i love the game, and can't get enough of it..

I'm too old to waste my time watching a lousy baseball team. There's only 1-1/2 proven quality major league players on the current roster. As bad as the 1970 team was, that team had Aparicio, Tommy John and Bill Melton to name a few.

Voodoo: Given that they haven't had that many chances but have already blown 10 of them...well that's really bad in my opinion.

That would be like scheduling a delivery of brand-new furniture before actually signing the closing papers on a house. This team is not going to be in a position to extract optimal utility from quality bullpen arms. Let those kids you listed take the spots.

MLB rankings for this bullpen:

Fourth-most bullpen losses, seventh-worst save percentage, eighth-worst inherited runners scored percentage, fifth-worst WHIP, sixth-worst OBP against, eighth-worst batting average against.

Really bad indeed. Mis-managed as well.
