Meh... I accept their statement that they were doing a crossword style puzzle and the Sox don't fit on the board if you want the full name and to have all the words intersect and properly spell White Sox. This isn't a big deal. Not like WOF is a freaking Internationally known sports station...

Why is the full name needed?
It's not like they are the only team in MLB with the word SOX on it.

Pat Sajak did mention the White Sox after the puzzle was solved. He is originally from Chicago, so he must know about the division.

Read a few years ago where Sajak said he and his Mom used to go to Sox games on Ladies Day. (Remember that?)

He's a Cubs fan but glad he acknowledged the Sox.

Sajak is a huge baseball fan. You can see him behind the plate at a lot of Angel games.

It also spells weird nonsense words vertically if you do that:
Code:
BLACKHAWKS
  BULLS
   BEARS
   SOX
As WOF stated in their reply it was a crossword style puzzle and this destroys that effect.

They could have had SOX coming down from the "S" in BLACKHAWKS.

One thing for certain: no one can accuse us of being bandwagon front-runners.
