I somehow doubt that. I think their people are just too lazy to do their jobs properly. And they wonder why they're losing viewers.

Laziness may be a reason but it is certainly not the primary reason.

They'll try to handle that by buying up the competition to the tune of twenty plus regional sport networks from Fox. Think YES network.

ESPN still has a great margins by pricing themselves as the one of the most expensive if not the most expensive network of the existing cable networks.

Having people cut the cable cord may not be the end of them; they're getting ready to jump into the streaming pool.

The deal is currently awaiting approval by the Unites States Department of Justice Antitrust Division.

I think so, too. At what point does this stop being an accident and become trolling?

I don't give a **** about Cleveland. This is a Sox fan site and I'm passing this along to Sox fans. The motto of this site is "Totally Biased" after all.

Personally, 2005 was a great, epic year as a Sox fan. I have fond memories of it. It was also 13 years ago. I could give two ****s whether or not ESPN remembers it in some random infographic in 2018.
Never?
Seriously! We Sox fans are supposed to get over 2005 now?

The big reason Bears fans still cling to 1985 is that their team has no titles in the 32 years since then. I'm hoping that Moncada, Jimenez, Kopech & Co. will prevent that from happening to the Sox.

My guess is that it's not intentional, but it does reflect the mindset at ESPN. The White Sox are practically non-existent in their minds.

I think this link needs to be sent to ESPN, over and over again, every time they forget about the 2005 World Series Champions.

"The Red Sox dream of repeating is over! And the White Sox advance. Whatever."

It's a pattern of repeated slights, and whether they're due to ignorance or malice, it reflects badly on ESPN.

The White Sox PR department ought to make a bigger deal out of it. World Series champs in 2005...aggressively rebuilding in 2017...forget about that extended national-laughingstock phase in between.

How can a team be both a national-laughingstock and completely irrelevant at the same time?

Agree about reaching for a snub, but the Indians ended a drought?

Very true. They were a staple of late night talk show jokes.
