Not a bud guy. I'm not much of a craft guy, either, but a lot more craft beer is supposedly coming in, too. Pollyanna from Lemont is a great place I go to often. They're supposed to be announced soon.
He claims he's heard from a local Bud distributor, a stadium beer vendor, and others that they are switching from Miller to Budweiser due to the end of Miller's contract and failure to come to new terms.

Danny Ecker has details in Crain's.

Sounds like the Sox will take a financial hit. No mention of Bud.

I think it's kinda cool. I'd pick Miller Lite or Coors Light when drinking such things, and loathe Bud Light, so I guess I'm glad it's not that (at least not yet). If the vendors are toting big cans of Modelo, that'll work. Could Old Style be in play?

Nasty. I can tolerate Miller, but I won't touch Bud or Modelo.

Not sure if you know, but Modelo is among Mexican beer products made by the same corporate entity that also owns Anheuser Busch. Ultimately, it's all Bud.

Personally, it makes me reminisce for the days of old when Carta Blanca was the Mexican beer of choice at Comiskey Park. And yes, there are times when I drink one just for sentimental reasons -- remembering the days when ballplayers like Jorge Orta and Francisco Barrios took the field for the Sox.

I emailed Brooks the other day and mentioned that the bullpen bar would have a new sponsor and new look, along with the new bar in left and some new lighting and other details on the upper deck concourse.

So long as MGD is out of the picture. The worst beer since Schaeffer and Stroh's. MGD had gone down 88% in sales from 2008-2013, yet it was still available at the Cell! Yay! Why not High Life? At least it's an okay cheap brew.

I didn't feel like losing a whole inning of the game waiting in the Beers of the World line, so I was forced to drink Miler Lite.

Not thrilled if this is true, but I'll still drink it. Still better than no light beer.

Those are the only alternatives? There's a whole world of beer between Miller Lite and an IPA. If my only choice is a light beer, I'll have a Coke.

Bud Light isn't beer. I'd drink used dish water first.

Remember in the 80's when it was said real men don't eat quiche? I say real men don't drink light beer. Period. Flame away.
