Realistically, most saw 2020 as the step up year.

This is still in line. This is also why I hope the Sox arent messing with Dunning or Hansen. If they need surgery, now is the time.

Greatest Arsenal goal I have ever witnessed. Chills to this day watching it.

Generally speaking youíre right, but I think (hope) we may be in a slightly different situation. Itís more likely than not that Stephens, Guerrero and Adams arenít anything more than back end starters, but thereís a chance they arenít, and now weíll get to find out. The odds are long and of course I donít want to paint this as a blessing in any way but at the very least thereís a small chance some long-term benefit could be reaped from it. Just trying to find the silver linings I suppose.

People can disagree if they want, putting him back out after the rain was a dumb ****ing move.

Reports say he had trouble getting loose before the game, so I'm inclined to believe this doesn't go back to the rain delay.

Nope. For the love of **** not him. Let Adam's, Stephen's, and Guerrero figure it out and play for a top 4 pick.

It was fun watching the team play well lately, but i never really expected them to get anywhere near contention until at least 2020, but realistically, i've always thought 21 or later .. but this, this is just devastating .. i realize that guys come back and their velocity can even improve, but Kopech is so young, and an emotional guy .. i just hope that he has the intestinal fortitude to come through a setback this huge..

Bingo. Although next year will be 3 or 4 of the rebuild? It's all blending together. Year 3 I guess.

The last thing I worry about is Kopech's mental fortitude. The man is a beast.

I don't understand why you're so quick to write this trade off. Yeah, it sucks, but calm down, will ya?
