Thought everyone would get a laugh out of this. Was in touch with someone who was covering the game today and we were having a laugh at the Cubs' expense. They said in that 9th inning when the Cubs were melting down, some of the media members "were taking it personally." (LOL)

When I asked who, I was told, George Offman and Jesse Rogers.

Silly me...I thought the media was supposed to be "unbiased."

Frankly I suspected it would be Kaplan. Guess I was wrong.

Ofman doesn't make a secret of it but he's usually a pro. Back in 2005, Rogers was pretending to be a White Sox fan and not convincing anyone. Suffering Cubs fans make me happy. Is that so wrong?

If they were celebrating the history of Wrigley Field and not only the current resident, then why not honor the team that actually won 8 championships there?

Dick Butkus and Gale Sayers were present, even though neither one of them were around in 1963. I don't know who else since I haven't really paid much attention to it.

Blowing a 3-run lead in the 9th to the team with the worst record in the league...the Cubs certainly celebrated Wrigley's 100th in the most appropriate way possible!

The Choke of 1969, fans fighting with the Dodgers' bullpen after a Cubs fan took a Dodgers' cap, Bartman and Cub fans contributing to that late inning collapse, and every Cub infielder making an error in a 2008 playoff game. Ah, the memories.

I didn't realize that, thanks.

I guess Bill Wade, Johnny Morris, Ed O'Bradovich and Ditka were unavailable...

Got a feeling the bros and trixies who occupy Wrigley nowadays don't recognize 3 of those names.

According to WXRT and the Score's Facebook pages, the Wrigley Field cake that the Cubs commissioned ended up in the garbage.

That could not be any more awesome.
