The Sox should look into this guy. We need a hard-throwing arm in the bullpen.

Sure. It's all about the power pitcher, isn't it?

I certainly hope you meant that in teal. I'd rather have Billy Koch back.

Homefish, what about Vizcaino, Cotts, Marte, or Hermanson? Politte is also capable of lighting up the radar gun.

C'mon people. As much as I hate him, you can't deny Fansworth's potential. Don't rely on him in important situations, but as a middle or longman option in games we're losing, you could definately do worse.

Boy. Talk about glowing praise! What's the going rate for pitchers you can't rely on in important situations and are not the worst option in lost causes? The Mets would probably offer him 3 yr/$16M.

Potential seems to come to mind with a lot of Cubs players, but success never follows...

Gotta love those guys with all that potential, yet you cant rely on him in important situations ...and its always good hearing a player's name followed by "you could do worse"...Please

Im sure this may have been an Isolated incident, but I saw that schmuck
Farnsworth at Tais on Ashland one Friday nite. It was after midnite
and the place was jam-packed. It was during a Sox/Flubs weekend
and the SOX had won already on Friday. A girl I was dating at the time
(was a cub fan) noticed him and said he looked like Farnsworth, I looked
twice and sure enough, it was him trying to shoot pool. I laughed and
walked up to him ........ and in a joking mood, said "Hey Kyle, GO WHITE SOX".
He looked up at me, but was all buzzed and saw my SOX clothing on, and said "Hey F*** You" and elbowed me in the chest and walked to the other side of the table.

I was pissed he did that and said "Just for that, Thats why you guys are gonna lose tomorrow! GO SOX KYLE" I said mockingly. He ignored me.

The next day, he came into the game and tried to preserve a lead
and the SOX pummelled him on the way to the victory. Justice was Served.

It was funny, because later on the media tried to play the fact he
drank heavily in the area most nites.

People were saying the same thing about Koch also, except it might have been even numbers, Whatever it was he still did terrible in 2004.

Yeah, speaking of that... what happened to Politte? I seem to remember him hitting triple digits on the radar gun frequently, yet later in the year he was hovering in the low 90's. Did he have arm troubles, or was I imagining things early in the year?
