Considering that my fiancee's favorite player is Paul Konerko, I get the feeling that I'm going to the May 11th game...

How do you request Dog Day tickets? Is it for season ticket holders only?

There is a document that needs to be completed and sent back to request tickets for the dog parade - the tickets go VERY fast. |

Mullet Night is noticeable by its absence.
Edit: Crap. Never mind June 28th. The self mocking celebration of stereotypes continues.

The last two seasons they had replica statue days. They gave Thomas and Fisk statues. I was hoping they would have this giveaway every year of the other statues they have in the park.

I agree, those statues were a really nice giveaway. Also, why isn't there a Luke Appling statue on the concourse yet?

I really like that they're doing another Paul Konerko bobblehead. The last one was given away in 2002 or 2003 and the Paulie that's on my dresser is rather stout and it doesn't really look like him. The Sox must have their bobbleheads designed by another company now because the Konerko bobblehead that'll be given away this year looks a lot more like him.
This year's Mother's Day tote bag is also awesome!

I always love attending the free giveaway days since it makes me tailgate before the game (double benefit).

I loved the game. I'd have played for free and worked for food. It was the game, the parks, the smells, the sounds. Have you ever held a bat or a baseball to your face? The varnish, the leather. And it was the crowd, the excitement of them rising as one when the ball was hit deep. It makes me tingle all over like a kid on his way to his first double-header, just to talk about it. - Shoeless Joe Jackson |
